Advanced Referee Camps

Advanced Referee Camps

Advanced Referee Camps are highly competitive camps that are intended for referees who are interested in breaking into the top-tier, Division I Conferences and/or are preparing to pursue a PAVO National Referee certification in the upcoming fall season. Current PAVO National Referees may earn a point towards National renewal for successful performance at an Advanced Referee Camp. Video recordings with voice-over commentary are included. Each camper will receive the videos from their training camp on a keepsake USB drive. The registration fee is $325 for PAVO members and $350 for non-members.  


Advanced Referee Camp Application Form (inactive)

The completed application must be electronically submitted by the registration deadline. Additionally, the full registration fee (see above) must be paid online, via the PAVO E-Store, by the registration deadline.

Each Advanced Referee Camp applicant will be notified of their acceptance status no later than one week after the registration deadline. If your application is NOT selected, then PAVO will credit the full registration fee directly to the credit card used for payment.

March 29-30 - Georgia Tech, Atlanta, GA. Application window closed.
PAVO returns to Georgia Tech to offer campers a top-level experience with teams from the ACC, ASUN, SEC, and Sun Belt Conference in attendance. This Advanced Referee Camp is intended for referees who are interested in breaking into the top-tier, Division I Conferences and/or are preparing to pursue a PAVO National Referee certification in the upcoming fall season. All camp participants will receive video-recorded feedback from our expert trainers after their matches, and a copy of their videos will be provided on a keepsake USB drive. ACC Conference Coordinator, Janis Matson, and Big XII/Summit League/Sunbelt Conference Coordinator, Anne Pufahl, will be present.

The Big South Qualifier (BSQ) will be held at the nearby Georgia World Congress Center. Campers who register for this camp and who commit to working a half day on Friday and a full day on Sunday will be offered free housing and compensation for working the event. For those applying — please register for the event (Big South Qualifier) on the SportWrench website. If you do not already have a SportWrench account, then you will need to create one. When registering for the tournament on SportWrench, please note that you will be participating in our PAVO camp and are only available to officiate the AM wave on Friday and on Sunday.

April 5-6 - Team Pineapple Club, Angola, IN. Application window closed.
Team Pineapple Club is a premier USA Volleyball club in Angola, Indiana that is hosting an elite, spring collegiate tournament with Division I teams from the Big 10, Big East, MAC, MVC, and Horizon League in attendance. This Advanced Referee Camp is intended for referees who are interested in breaking into the top-tier, Division I Conferences and/or are preparing to pursue a PAVO National Referee certification in the upcoming fall season. All camp participants will receive video-recorded feedback from our expert trainers after their matches, and a copy of their videos will be provided on a keepsake USB drive. DIII National Coordinator, Denise Penzkofer, will be present.

Camp applications will be accepted until March 8.
